To improve the transparency of data governance, thereby managing the efficiency of its administration.

The practice till now:

Individual departments work in isolation, and the student data is transferred to other connected departments manually or partially digitally.

The new system and its advantages

Linking the portals: AOAP, Finance Portal, Admin Portal, and My Amrita, can rectify the shortcomings in the current practices. A fully digitalized transfer of important data is made possible.

AOAP (Amrita Online Admissions Portal)

An applicant, when allocated through AOAP, must go through the following procedures before getting registered as a student:

Payment: Applicants can pay their tuition fees. They can also apply to avail hostel or bus facilities, before joining Amrita.

To book for a hostel each applicant must pay an amount of 5000, which can be refunded if the applicant applies for a cancellation of hostel booking, at any stage in their admission.

Verification of certificates: The applicant’s data must undergo preliminary verification through AOAP.

My Amrita portal

Roll number generation:

After an applicant's certificates undergo verification, the Roll number will be generated by the system and the applicant will be registered as a student at Amrita.

Allotting email and password: The ICTS will assign a student an email and password, giving access to My Amrita portal

Sending welcome message: The ICTS will send a welcome mail to the students, with the following details:

               a. Email ID and password 

               b. details of the Advisor and Counsellor  

               c. other details, if any. 

Admin Portal- will be controlled by the Administrative Office

Admin portal can access the following:

             a. View student details in AUMS 

             b. View student-fee details 

             c. View Loan details - generate Bonafide 

             d. Issue id card 

             e. Bus allocation and fee remittance – based on the bus route 

                selected by the student. 

             f. Thorough verification of certificates - The 
                certificates of the students must be subjected to 
                rigorous scrutiny within 1 week of their registration. 

Note: If anomalies are found in any certificates of the student, the

Admin Portal can initiate the termination of the student registration.
